Andre Salcedo is a senior executive with over 25 years of experience in infrastructure, finance, and sustainability. As CEO of Sabesp (2023-2024), he led the company’s digital and cultural transformation and oversaw Latin America’s largest water utility privatization. At Iguá Saneamento, he served as Chief Business Development Officer and Chief Transformation Officer, spearheading a growth strategy that more than doubled the company’s size. At BNDES, Brazilian development bank, he held leadership roles in infrastructure, capital markets, and green finance. Andre holds degrees in Electrical and Production Engineering (2000), a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, an MBA in PPPs, and has recently completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Cecilia Correia is the Global Water Industry Solutions Strategist at Bentley Systems. With 20 years of experience in the water sector, she has worked with river basin authorities, engineering consultancies, utilities, and digital solution providers. At Bentley, Cecilia oversees global strategy for the water sector, focusing on digital technologies, strategic partnerships, and helping utilities build resilient infrastructure to meet climate and urban challenges.
Cecilia is dedicated to improving water infrastructure through innovative technology. She promotes the use of digital tools like digital twins, AI, real-time analytics, and intelligent asset management to help utilities adapt to and lead changes. Her goal is to support a sustainable and efficient water sector, where infrastructure is smarter, decisions are based on data, and communities are better protected.

Increasingly unpredictable and sever weather events are putting pressure on urban infrastructure, challenging cities to rethink how they manage stormwater and reduce flood risks. Traditional gray infrastructure alone is no longer sufficient. A more resilient and adaptable approach that integrates both engineered systems and nature-based solutions is essential for protecting communities, preserving the environment and sustaining urban growth.
This webinar will bring together a panel of experts in water infrastructure, urban resilience and digital technology who will explore how cities can strengthen resilience by combining green and gray infrastructure strategies with advanced digital solutions. Drawing from real-world implementations of Bentley Systems’ solutions, the session will highlight how digitalization enhances every phase of infrastructure delivery, from planning and design to construction, operation, and maintenance.
Key topics will include:
- How evolving weather patterns and urbanization are shaping the future of flood and stormwater infrastructure
- Integrating digital solutions to support both gray and green infrastructure planning
- Applying sponge city principles to enhance urban permeability and reduce runoff
- Leveraging connected digital workflows to improve performance and sustainability
- Success stories

Join us to learn how digital innovation is enabling cities to design and manage flood-resilient, sustainable infrastructure for more livable communities.
Strongly motivated and goal-oriented researcher, with over 10-year laboratory experience, capacity for team and project management and a great ability to adapt to new transversal projects. Currently researching new indicators for water quality assessment, specifically enteric viruses and Bacteroides spp, using molecular biology.
Prof Hodges has been a teaching/research professor at UT Austin for 25 years, working in computational modeling of lakes, rivers, estuaries and stormwater. Most recently his team has built a new, public-domain, computational hydraulics engine for the US EPA Stormwater Management Model (SWMM) to fix long-standing problems in model accuracy and to widen its applicability and computational speed.
