  • Have a proven track record of success in the implementation of technological solutions in sanitation projects;
  • Have a highly qualified team in technological solutions for water and sanitation; and
  • Comply with the standards and regulations of Brazil's sanitation sector.

Register until February 28th through this form.

The innovation platform

The Trial Reservoir: Water Innovation Platform in Brazil  is an Isle initiative offered by Source of Innovation (SoI), an alliance of the IDB Group with external partners to promote the development and adoption of innovative solutions in the water, sanitation, and solid waste sectors to achieve smart, inclusive, and sustainable services, with a focus on service providers in Latin America and the Caribbean. SoI is funded by the Government of Switzerland, through its Secretariat of State for Economic Affairs (SECO), the FEMSA Foundation, the Republic of Korea, through its Ministry of the Environment, The Coca-Cola Foundation, the Government of Spain, through its Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation (MINECO), and the Government of Israel, through its Ministry of Finance. The alliance is also complemented by direct contributions from IDB Lab and the Water and Sanitation Division of the IDB.

It consists of the following cyclical steps:

  • Adhesion of the sanitation company to the platform;
  • Assessment of technological innovation needs and opportunities;
  • Global call, using the Isle and IDB network, for available technologies that have the capacity to serve the Brazilian market;
  • Holding meetings with Technology Approval Groups (TAGs) methodology to present the innovative technologies selected for the sanitation company; and
  • Financing of pilot projects, if the sanitation company is interested, without the need for reimbursement in case of failure.
