Sacyr, through its subsidiary Sacyr Water, has signed an agreement for the acquisition of four companies in Chile dedicated to management of the complete water cycle. The expected business backlog exceeds 500 million euros.
Sacyr Water will manage services of capture of raw water, distribution of potable water, collection and purification of wastewater for a population of 150,000 inhabitants, with a workforce of approximately 200 employees.
The operation includes the purchase of four companies that provide services in the city of Antofagasta and the towns in the Metropolitan region of Santiago, namely Colina, Lampa, Lo Barnachea, Valle Escondido, Los Álamos and Pan de Azucar. With this operation, Sacyr is strengthening its commitment to Chile, where it is the leading private investor in the country’s transport infrastructure. It also has activity in industry, facility services and infrastructure conservation.
