Dorsch Global, a leading international consulting and engineering firm, has been awarded a key supervision engineering consultancy contract by the National Water Company (NWC) of Saudi Arabia, according to a press release.

This contract, valued at over SAR800 million ($213 million), focuses on wastewater management initiatives in Saudi Arabia.

Under this five-year agreement, Dorsch Global will oversee and manage the implementation of water and wastewater projects within two distinct geographical clusters. The partnership aims to capitalize on Dorsch’s extensive global experience by providing specialized expertise, including design review, contract management, construction supervision, and testing and commissioning services.

The agreement divides the work into two regional clusters. In the southern region, Dorsch will oversee the execution of 154 projects valued at SAR490 million, while in the northwestern region, 99 projects worth SAR336 million are included.

These initiatives are part of Saudi Arabia’s National Water Strategy, spearheaded by NWC to enhance operational efficiency, bolster water distribution networks, ensure water security, and provide sustainable water solutions throughout the Kingdom’s cities and governorates.

"Securing this five-year contract marks a milestone for Dorsch, demonstrating our company’s capability to manage large-scale and complex projects," said Ayman Haikal, CEO of Dorsch Global. "This achievement represents not just a significant milestone for Dorsch, but also a testament to our continuous growth as a company and our core values of innovation, dedication, quality and client-centric excellence."

Dorsch has a strong track record in Saudi Arabia’s water sector. Past projects include extending urban water supply systems for various municipalities, where the company provided technical, financial, and administrative supervision to ensure adherence to strict technical standards.

In addition to its work in the water sector, Dorsch is involved in other large-scale projects across Saudi Arabia. These include managing the Intelligent Transportation System for Riyadh City and contributing to the Urban Forestation Green Riyadh initiative. Such projects highlight the company’s role in advancing the Kingdom’s infrastructure and supporting its economic development, Haikal noted.
