Galfar Engineering & Contracting, a prominent Oman-based construction firm, has been awarded a contract valued at RO35 million (approximately $91 million) by Nama Dhofar Services Company, according to Muscat Daily. This contract is for the expansion of the third phase of the Raysut water reclamation plant, located in the Dhofar governorate.

“We are pleased to inform our shareholders that Nama Dhofar Services Company has awarded Galfar the ‘Expansion of Raysut Water Reclamation Plants – Phase III (Stage 1) project. The two parties accepted the letter of award on July 25, 2024,” Galfar said in a disclosure to the Muscat Stock Exchange.

Galfar announced that the entire project is slated for completion within three years. This new contract is expected to bolster Galfar’s order book and help maintain its strong presence in the wastewater services sector.
