Saudi Arabia’s Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) and Brazilian company WEG, specializing in electrical engineering, energy, and automation, have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU), reports Zawya.
This cooperation aims to strengthen strategic cooperation and foster collaboration by actively exchanging expertise, research, innovations, and engineering applications in water desalination and related technologies.
The MoU offers opportunities for localizing and enriching content in electrical engineering, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency of various electrical systems, including motors and variable frequency devices.
Additionally, it targets elevating the performance of standard low-voltage motors and developing high-efficiency electrical systems to reduce energy consumption, aligning with the latest models to promote sustainable energy efficiency.
The MoU was signed during the Brazilian-Saudi Investment Forum organized by the Saudi Ministry of Investment, graced by the presence of Brazilian Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services, Geraldo Alckmin, alongside Saudi Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid Al-Falih.
