The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) announced on Monday it had received private bids from four consortia for the Al-Haer Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP) project in the Saudi province of Riyadh.

The four consortia are:

  • ACCIONA and TAWZEA
  • Alfanar and Civil Works Company
  • GS Inima and Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Company
  • Miahona and BESIX

The statement by SWPC said the Al-Haer ISTP project is to be developed with a capacity of 200,000 m3/day. The project is scheduled to start commercial operations during the third quarter of 2026.

Last year, Smart Water Magazine reported in June that SWPC had announced the prequalification of 24 bidders for the participation in the tender of the Al-Haer Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP) and the Request for Proposal (RFP) tender was issued on November 24th, 2022.
