Tetra Tech, a prominent consulting and engineering firm specializing in water, environmental, and sustainable infrastructure services, has been selected by Uisce Éireann (formerly Irish Water) to support a major water infrastructure initiative in Ireland. The selection comes as part of a joint venture that includes Tetra Tech’s RPS operations, AtkinsRéalis, and Long O’Donnell.
The joint venture will deliver technical services aimed at increasing water treatment capacity and enhancing the distribution network across the country. Tetra Tech will utilize its Leading with Science® approach to design advanced, environmentally sustainable infrastructure as part of the Water Supply Project for the Eastern and Midlands Region. This effort includes the development of a new water treatment facility, several pumping stations, and over 170 kilometers of pipeline to support the growing demand for water.
The project is expected to serve up to half of Ireland’s population, marking it as a significant national infrastructure investment.
“Tetra Tech’s team, through our RPS operations, has decades of experience supporting water infrastructure improvements to meet the needs of communities across Ireland,” said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech Chairman and CEO. “We look forward to supporting Uisce Éireann to deliver this once-in-a-generation water infrastructure project.”
