Gentrack, a leader in next-generation utility solutions, has announced the successful completion of a transformative project with the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF). This project introduces a robust cloud-based platform, designed to enhance customer service, optimize billing and collections processes, and support the implementation of advanced water metering technologies across Fiji.

In a collaborative effort, Gentrack and WAF migrated WAF’s existing Gentrack solution to a high-performance infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The transition included the integration of cutting-edge capabilities aimed at elevating customer experiences and improving collections efficiency. The project was executed within the scheduled timeframe, ensuring minimal disruption to WAF's operations. This move is expected to deliver immediate cost savings through the digitization and automation of key processes related to billing, customer management, and revenue collection.

The deployment of Gentrack on AWS is a pivotal step in WAF’s ongoing transformation, enabling the organization to focus on enhancing customer-centric services and leveraging advanced revenue management features. The new cloud platform positions WAF to automate additional business processes, improve debt recovery, and reduce operational costs.

Sekove Uluinayau, Chief Customer Officer at the Water Authority of Fiji said: “We are delighted with the successful completion of this project. It’s a major step forward in our journey to improve our service delivery to all our valued customers. The new cloud platform will enable us to better serve our customers and meet our strategic objectives as an essential service provider in Fiji.“

Allan Sampson, General Manager New Zealand, Gentrack said: “Gentrack’s Team Pacifika and the WAF team worked exceptionally well together to deliver this project. The new cloud platform lays the foundation for WAF to explore its plans for corporatisation, improve revenue management, deliver new customer experiences, and drive down costs through automation.”
