WesTech Engineering, Inc., global leader in process solutions for water and wastewater treatment, liquid/solids separation, and minerals process equipment, has opened a new business unit in Italy. WesTech now has business locations on five continents.

The WesTech Italy office opened Feb. 5 and is located near the city of Milan. This new location enhances WesTech’s presence in the region. It is an ideal bridge that allows the company to extend its market reach more deeply into Continental Europe, Russia, North Africa, and the Middle East. By locating in Italy, WesTech will be able to establish closer ties with many of its international customers and identify new opportunities with future customers.

"The Italy office will strengthen our service capabilities in fast-growing markets, position us for long term sustainable business growth, and boost overall WesTech performance,” says Ralph Cutler, President of WesTech. “Creating this satellite office allows WesTech to be physically closer to our customers and more efficiently service their needs.”

WesTech has a long history of international outreach with industrial water and wastewater, chemical processing, and minerals beneficiation projects that range from small package plants to large mineral processing equipment. From this office, WesTech will focus on providing equipment and services for liquid/solids separation for industrial water, wastewater, minerals beneficiation, and chemical processing industries.

The business unit is guided by Gabriele Ghiringhelli, Managing Director, a recognized expert in liquid/solids separation in chemical, industrial, mineral, and environmental markets. Together, the team represents more than 50 years of experience in process equipment and has been working together for many years. The team provided outside sales representation for WesTech in the region until joining the company earlier this month.

"WesTech looks forward to expanding its global distinction for high quality products and service to this region of the world,” said Dave Fisher, International Business Manager at WesTech. “Our expertise in the water market and outstanding reputation in the industry positions us to enter this region as a strong player.”
