Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co. has announced the signing of a major infrastructure contract with National Water Company for the development of sanitary sewer networks in the Hafar Al-Batin and Al-Qaisomah governorates.
According to a statement filed with the Saudi stock exchange, the contract, valued at SAR 221.0 million (approximately USD 58.9 million), excluding VAT, covers Phase Four (Part Two) of the sewer network expansion project in the Eastern Province. The agreement was formally signed on 30 March 2026, following the award announcement made on 19 November 2025.
Under the terms of the contract, Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies will undertake the construction of approximately 184 kilometres of sewer pipelines, with diameters ranging between 200 mm and 700 mm. The scope of works also includes the installation of manholes, inspection chambers, and all necessary connections to integrate the new infrastructure with the existing sewer network.
The project is scheduled for completion within 36 months. The company indicated that the financial impact of the contract began to be reflected in its results during the first quarter of 2026.
This contract forms part of ongoing efforts to expand wastewater infrastructure and improve sanitation services in rapidly growing urban areas across Saudi Arabia. Hafar Al-Batin and Al-Qaisomah have seen increasing demand for reliable wastewater management systems, driven by population growth and urban development.
The project reinforces the company’s position in the Kingdom’s water infrastructure sector, particularly in the delivery of large-scale wastewater network projects aligned with national development objectives.
