Volkswagen opens data centre in Norway 100% powered by hydropower

The data center will be 100 percent powered by hydropower – resulting in a savings of more than 5,800 tons of CO2 per year. The Volkswagen Group will use computing power for the digitalized vehicle development of Volkswagen Passenger Cars and AUDI brands. Volkswagen focuses on economic and ecological factors in the development of computing capacity – another climate neutral site already in operation in Iceland.

Audi Environmental Foundation presents awards to young resource management researchers

Two master’s theses in the Sustainable Resource Management course of study receive the SRM Award. Rüdiger Recknagel, Chief Executive of the Audi Environmental Foundation: “With this award, we are encouraging young inventors to work for environmental protection”.
