Caryn Novak is a Senior Principal with Autodesk’s Business Consulting practice. She is a Civil and Environmental Engineer with 15 years of experience in the UK water sector in asset planning, operations, and regulation. Prior to joining the water industry, she worked for 15 years in data networking to deploy internet connectivity globally. Throughout her career, Caryn has advocated for the adoption of digitalization. She joined Autodesk in 2022 to help water utilities use data to transform how critical water infrastructure is managed.
Caryn has a BSE in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Duke University and a MSc in Water and Environmental Engineering from the University of Surrey. She has participated in research with environment agencies in the Great Lakes and Scotland, building predictive models for water quality and public health.
Paolo Tamagnone is a Hydraulic Civil Engineer with extensive experience in hydroclimatic hazards and flood modelling. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. Throughout his career, Paolo has been dedicated to advancing the understanding and management of water-related risks through innovative research and practical applications.
Paolo's expertise includes the integration of multiple modelling techniques, utilizing software developed by institutions (HEC, EPA), university research departments (BASEMENT, Iber, Lisflood-FP) and private companies (InfoWorks). He has collaborated with various research institutions and environmental agencies to promote the implementation of solutions for flood risk and water stress mitigation under climate change.
Luke Johnson is a Principal Urban Drainage Modeller with AECOM and has extensive experience and technical skills in 1D and 1D-2D model building, model verification and results analysis for UK water companies. He is currently the technical lead for AECOM on the Anglian Water modelling framework and helped lead on technical input for the Mansfield SFR hydraulic modelling work and developed procedures for widescale modelling of SuDS interventions.
Hannah Howe, Principal Consultant with AECOM, is a strategist with a passion for Water and the Environment. Specialising in GIS, hydraulic modelling and catchment planning, she is currently leading the modelling programme for the groundbreaking Mansfield Sustainable Flood Resilience Green Recovery Project.
Paul Campbell is a Technical Sales SME for Autodesk specialising in storm, sewer and flood modelling with InfoWorks ICM and ICMLive. In his role he advises customers on modelling with InfoWorks ICM across the EMEA region and regularly presents at conferences on the subject of hydraulic modelling. Before joining Autodesk, Paul worked in consultancy since 2002 on a wide range of water industry and flooding projects, focussing primarily on hydraulic modelling.
Anthony McCloy is Managing Director of McCloy Consulting, who provide specialist services in hydraulic modelling, NbS, civil engineering and geo-environmental.
With a passion for water and the environment, Anthony retains a technical ‘hands on’ role within the company and is nationally recognised for his contributions in the field of SuDS and flood risk.
As a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Ireland Anthony has contributed to National and Local Policy and Guidance.
Peter returned to AECOM in 2022 as Lead Engineer for Waterways and Coasts for the UK & Ireland, providing technical leadership in flood risk and water management projects. Previously, he was Head of Engineering at Scottish Canals, overseeing canal networks like the Caledonian, Crinan, and Lowland Canals, managing assets including 19 reservoirs, 140 miles of canals, the Falkirk Wheel, and the Kelpies. A highlight is the Glasgow Smart Canal, which Peter conceived at AECOM and led to delivery. In 2021, this project won awards from ICE, CECA, and the British Construction Industry Awards for innovation and sustainability.
Rebecca specializes in supporting water utilities and their supply chain to achieve digital transformation, especially in the area of real time operational modelling and digital twins. Her modelling and design experience in large infrastructure consultancy projects in all aspects of the water sector enables her to provide smart solution decisions and insights.

With over 18 years of expertise in Water Projects, Özgüray has led as the Water Solutions Manager at Universal Software for the last 5 years. His profound involvement in crafting specialized systems that seamlessly merge technology and engineering has been instrumental in advancing water management practices.

Cihat is a dedicated water enthusiast who brings with him experience in water resources and its isotopes. Having earned his bachelor's degree in Turkiye, he furthered his expertise with a master's degree in hydrogeology in Western Australia. Throughout his academic journey, Cihat integrated theoretical knowledge with practical applications, honing his skills in both fieldwork and office-based studies. Now, he is a control engineer of the Flood Forecasting and Early Warning Centre team to contribute to the team’s success.

Salih, having worked extensively on flood analysis (including 1D-2D hydrodynamic analyses, preparation of flood inundation hazard and risk maps), was selected to join the team tasked with establishing the 'National Flood Forecasting and Early Warning Center' in Turkey. He conducted research in his field as a visiting scholar at California University (UCDavis). Currently, he is pursuing his PhD studies in Hydrological Modeling while serving as a control engineer within the Flood Forecasting and Early Warning Center team, contributing to its success. His areas of interest span hydraulics, hydrology, flood modeling, remote sensing, data analysis, and artificial intelligence.
Youssef is a water enthusiast, with years of hydraulic and transient modeling experience supporting some of America’s largest public and private water utilities.He is a Rutgers alumnus, having completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil and environmental engineering.In his role as technical marketing manager, Youssef covers all technical marketing initiatives for the water portfolio at Autodesk.
