Metito to develop Kenderli desalination plant to accelerate Kazakhstan’s Water Security Agenda

A consortium of Metito, SMK Atameken LLP, Ak Jol Kurylys LLP, and Caspian HES Consulting LLP, has been awarded the contract to develop a 50,000 m3/day desalination plant in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan. The Kenderli SWRO facility will have the capacity to provide potable water needs for the Zhanaozen city, which presently sources its potable water from the Kigach River through a 1000 km pipeline, and the Kenderli recreation area.
