ACCIONA Agua will participate in the Saudi Water Forum, an event sponsored by H.E. Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture. His ministry is organizing the forum under the motto "Sustainable water... for sustainable development"; it will be held in Riyadh from 17-19 March.

The Spanish company will also be one of the main sponsors of the event, which will be a relevant platform to get to know the activities that have been carried out to date first-hand, in addition to others planned for the water sector in Saudi Arabia, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and National Water Strategy.

ACCIONA Agua Business Development Manager in the Middle East, Julio de la Rosa will participate in one of the panels organized during the SWF to discuss the latest water techniques applied to agriculture and industry on Monday the 18th at 16,15h

The company will also be present throughout the event with a stand, the aim being to strengthen relations with its main sector clients in Saudi Arabia.

ACCIONA Agua in Saudi Arabia

ACCIONA Agua was recently awarded the construction of one of the biggest desalination plants in Saudi Arabia, Shuqaiq 3, the largest-scale project to date in the country. It will be developed under a BOO (Build, Own and Operate) contract with a budget of around 750 million euros.

This project is the company's third in the country after the award of the construction of the Al-Khobar desalination plant in July 2018 and the completion of the construction and start-up of the Al Jubail desalination plant in 2015. Through the three projects, ACCIONA Agua will supply desalinated water to a population equivalent of over 3 million people.
