About the entity

AECOM
AECOM became an independent company formed by the merger of five entities. While our official founding was in 1990, many of our predecessor firms had distinguished histories dating back more than 120 years.

AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, announced the appointment of Zuliana Mawani as the vice president and operations manager for its Water business in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). In this role, Ms. Mawani will provide business leadership and direction, including staff management, project oversight, and client relations management to achieve quality, safety and client satisfaction targets.

With over 20 years of water consulting experience, Ms. Mawani brings a wealth of expertise to AECOM’s Water team. As a design engineer focused on municipal wastewater treatment for most of her career, she honed her skills in process evaluation, optimization and plant modeling, as well as process and mechanical design. Recognized for her collaborative management approach and problem-solving skills, she has consistently delivered outstanding solutions to her clients on major water projects across the GTA and Ontario.

Having previously worked at AECOM from 2003 to 2012, Zuliana’s return reflects the value she places on the company’s culture of technical excellence and the opportunity to contribute to its continued growth.

“We’re excited to welcome Zuliana back to AECOM and look forward to seeing her drive the Water business forward in the Greater Toronto Area,” said Ian Dyck, senior vice president and Water business line leader in AECOM’s Canada region. “Zuliana’s experience in leading teams and driving progress in the water consulting business makes her an ideal fit for AECOM.”

“I am thrilled to return to AECOM and once again partner with the firm’s amazing clients across the region,” said Ms. Mawani. “I look forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the Water business line and the exciting work that lies ahead.”

Ms. Mawani’s long history of working in the Canadian water business includes playing a leadership role in winning and delivering some of the GTA’s largest and most complex water treatment projects. Her impressive career portfolio includes assignments for the Regions of Durham, Halton, Niagara, Peel, Waterloo and York, as well as the cities of Toronto and Barrie.

Ms. Mawani is a Professional Engineer in Ontario and obtained a Masters of Water Resources Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario.

Ms. Mawani’s appointment is effective immediately.
