In Mauritania, only 15% of the rural population has access to sanitation. With the help of an NGO, in the south of the country, village hygiene committees have been created ... And in one year, in 120 villages, 80% of households have equipped with latrines.

The "Five Wilayas" project aims to improve the living conditions of the populations of five regions of southern Mauritania, contributing significantly to the achievement of the SDGs in terms of access to drinking water and sanitation services.
