About the entity

Binnies
Binnies is the new trading name for the Black & Veatch water businesses in Europe and Asia after they joined the RSK group in January 2021. Binnies specialises in water utility, infrastructure, engineering and environmental projects.

Binnies, a leading UK water and environmental whole life cycle services provider, is proud to announce a new leadership structure within its Water Services division. These strategic appointments reflect Binnies’ continued growth and ambition as the business enters AMP8 with confidence and momentum.

Claire Watson has been appointed Water Services South Director, responsible for client relationships and operations across offices south of the red line on our regional map (see above). Claire will also lead our resource team based in the International Engineering Centre in New Delhi, strengthening our international delivery capabilities.

Ed Turner joined Binnies on 2 June as Water Services North Director, with responsibility for clients and offices north of the red line. In addition, Ed will oversee all international projects delivered through Water Services.

Tim O’Brien has been appointed Water Services Major Projects Commercial Director, leading the winning and delivery of major projects across the division. Tim will also serve as PMO Lead, ensuring effective governance and delivery across the project portfolio.

Gary Laing remains as Major and Special Projects Director, focusing on the successful execution of both existing and future major projects, continuing to build on our legacy of major project delivery.

Simon Barton will continue as Engineering Director, with a clear focus on developing and growing the engineering team to meet the needs of our clients and frameworks.

Mark Gilding continues in his key role as Operations Director and Head of Technical Services, where he will maintain a strong focus on operational excellence and technical leadership across the Water Services division.

“These leadership appointments mark an exciting new chapter for Water Services,” said Rachel Pether, Water Services Business Unit Director at Binnies. “With the start of AMP8, we have secured a backlog of work, which will lead to growth over the next five years – we are poised for success. This team brings deep expertise, client focus and collaborative energy that will enable us to grow, innovate and deliver excellence for our clients across the UK and beyond.”
