InfraLeuna GmbH own and operate the infrastructure facilities at the Leuna chemical site. As part of a major industrial settlement on the site a contract was awarded for the supply of a full desalination plant with partial flow filtration for cooling water.
The order comprises the continuous deionisation of up to 375 m³/h river water by means of ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and ion exchangers, as well as the treatment of a cooling water with ultrafiltration.
H+E’s scope of supply for the contract comprises the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of the process, mechanical, and electrical and ICA equipment for the water treatment plant.
A decisive factor in awarding the contract to H+E GmbH after a negotiation process lasting several months were its decades of experience in the delivery of turnkey process water plants and the submission of the technically and economically best bid. Furthermore, H+E was able to draw on a large number of similar and well-known reference projects.
The award of this project once again demonstrates the confidence of the H+E customers in the capabilities and technological competence of H+E GmbH. Delivery and commissioning are scheduled for the coming year 2022.
