As part of the second edition of the Innovative Solutions for Water Management (SIGA) Fair, sponsored by Canal de Isabel II, Aqualia and ACCIONA Agua, the International Conference "New Challenges and Solutions for Water in Sustainable Cities" was held at Feria de Madrid on the 27th of February, 2019.

In the presence of important entities and experts from the sector, numerous relevant water professionals shared their experiences and knowledge on water innovation. 

During the Conference, we interviewed Kala Vairavamoorthy, Director of the International Water Association (IWA), on the main challenges of the global water sector and how these can be solved. In addition, he explained how innovation can contribute to improving wastewater treatment and highlighted the successful projects carried out by IWA to solve urban water management.
