In November 2021, we sent out a call for proposals for large-scale proposals. We are thrilled to share, that we have received 19 promising proposals.
As of August 2021, the programme entered its third phase, where the focus will be on facilitating joint-learning, by building capacity, for a host of people, communities and organisations from low- and middle-income countries. Together with the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have identified three main themes, to ensure that the projects work in coordinated learning networks.
Over the next few weeks, the submitted proposals will go through an extensive review process, and by March-end, we will announce the list of projects that will be awarded funding from the programme.
We have been committed to finding – socially inclusive and ecologically sustainable ways - of addressing the challenges that are explored by the water sector, but faced, in varying intensities, by the world at large. We believe that the solutions to these challenges are often found in diverse disconnected pockets around the world, often eclipsed by structural inequalities. Thus, through this programme we are actively engaged in building spaces where collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches can flourish.
