Miguel Ángel López Borrego has been appointed a new member of the Supervisory Board of NORMA Group SE with effect from March 16, 2021, after being proposed by the Supervisory Board and the Management Board.
As CEO of Siemens S.A. in Madrid, Miguel Ángel López Borrego heads Siemens’ Spanish activities. He also has been chairing the Board of Directors of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy S.A., a listed manufacturer of wind turbines based in Zamudio, Spain, since 2018. Mr. López Borrego has Spanish citizenship. After studying Business Administration, he began his career as a controller at VDO in Babenhausen and held various CFO positions in general industry and the supply industry.

In accordance with the statutes, the Supervisory Board of NORMA Group SE is composed of six members and is now complete with the appointment of Miguel Ángel López Borrego. The Supervisory Board was temporarily comprised of five members after the former Chairman of the Supervisory Board Lars Berg resigned from his office with effect as of end of August 31, 2020, and Günter Hauptmann moved up to become Chairman of the Board. With the appointment of Miguel Ángel López Borrego, the responsible court followed the proposal of the Management Board and Supervisory Board of NORMA Group SE. Mr. López Borrego will seek election by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on May 20. The other members of the Supervisory Board of NORMA Group SE are Günter Hauptmann (Chairman of the Supervisory Board), Erika Schulte (Deputy Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board), Rita Forst, Dr. Knut J. Michelberger and Mark Wilhelms.
