NORMA Group is introducing Raindrip RootWise™, a 360° precision irrigation pad, a product for a completely new irrigation method. The pad consists of a geotextile fabric that drip tubes with integrated emitters have been incorporated into. Raindrip RootWise™ is placed around the plant and ensures that water is delivered directly to the root zone. This reduces evaporation and the plants are optimally supplied with water. Compared to conventional irrigation methods, such as sprinklers, drip irrigation can save up to 80 percent water.
“The need for efficient irrigation methods is steadily increasing around the world,” said Dr. Michael Schneider, CEO of NORMA Group. “Our water management products ensure that water is transported to where it is needed without any losses. With RootWise™, we are expanding our product portfolio to offer our customers a completely new irrigation method.”
Raindrip RootWise™ comes in three different sizes and is particularly well suited for watering roses, shrubs and potted plants. The irrigation pad can be used in agriculture, nurseries and private gardens.

Raindrip RootWise™ was developed by a professional contractor. NORMA Group’s US subsidiary, NDS, has entered into a partnership with the developers of the pad to introduce this product to the US market. It will be marketed under the Raindrip brand, NORMA Group’s leading consumer brand for drip irrigation.
“We are always interested in new and innovative product solutions and are very excited about this partnership,” said CEO Schneider. “RootWise™ is already being sold online and we are currently preparing the launch in U.S. wholesale and retail stores. The popularity of the product is also reflected in the fact that RootWise™ won the People’s Choice Award in the US Irrigation Association’s New Product Contest.”
The Irrigation Association is the leading association in the US for irrigation system manufacturers, distributors, designers and end users. The New Product Contest hosted by the Association evaluated 31 products and technologies for innovation, design quality, efficiency of water use, ease of use and product life, and recognized them in five categories. The People’s Choice Awards were presented in addition to these five categories.
