NX Filtration, the global provider of breakthrough direct nanofiltration technology for pure and affordable water, proudly announces that Mr. Geert-Henk Koops (former Global Technology Leader at Suez Equipment and Systems) has joined NX Filtration as per June 2022 in the role of Technical Director.
Geert-Henk brings a wealth of international membrane technology experience from his long career at, among others, Suez, where he led a global team of approximately 100 researchers and engineers responsible for product development in the field of water treatment. Prior to that, Geert-Henk worked at GE Water & Process Technologies, where he was responsible for R&D and led the global technology team of their ultrafiltration and membrane bioreactor division.
At NX Filtration, Geert-Henk will be responsible for product development, quality control and the implementation of continuous improvement processes.
Geert-Henk Koops comments: “I am inspired by NX Filtration’s sustainable membrane products that address the water industry’s challenges of today, related to increasing concentrations of small and harmful organic micropollutants in our drinking water and wastewater. NX Filtration’s hollow fiber nanofiltration technology offers an efficient and sustainable solution to remove such micropollutants in a simple process with virtually no pretreatment, relatively low energy consumption and a high tolerance for chlorine and solids.
NX Filtration’s strong focus on sustainability is truly holistic. This starts with their mission to make clean and affordable water available for everyone. In addition, NX Filtration’s membranes realize significant CO2 savings compared to traditional membranes. And NX Filtration is also applying environmentally friendly and responsible production processes. Being part of building a successful “green” and innovative company with an entrepreneurial team excites me a lot.”
Erik Roesink, CTO of NX Filtration, comments: “I am thrilled that Geert-Henk is joining NX Filtration. We are expanding rapidly around the world, with many growth opportunities for our hollow fiber nanofiltration membrane technology. Geert-Henk’s extensive experience in membrane technology will not only help us in scaling up our production processes and improving efficiencies, but also in further building out our development processes.”
