The catalogue includes the renovated lines of pipes, all of them featuring an outer Biozinalium® coating, as well as a section on special coatings.
- PAM Blutop®: A complete pipeline system that has the advantages of ductile iron and adds to them to the advantages of plastics, resulting in an innovative small-diameter pipe system for water distribution. The Blutop® product line is lightweight and the dimensions are compatible with plastic materials. The main advantages of the Blutop® product line are increased resistance to soil aggressiveness and good performance against water aggressiveness thanks to its Ductan® lining.
- PAM Natural: A complete ductile iron pipeline system for drinking water conveyance with a Biozinalium® reinforced outer coating, according to the preferred pressure classes in the EN 545:2011 Standard, and with a high performance version in higher classes.
The PAM Natural line of pipes features Saint-Gobain PAM's proprietary Biozinalium®, made of a 85-15 zinc-aluminium alloy layer, enriched with copper, with a minimum mass of 400 g/m2, and an Aquacoat® protective aqueous-phase acrylic (semi-permeable) layer, with an average thickness of 80 μm. The lining is made of blast furnace cement mortar, sulphate resistant, applied by a centrifugal process. It features high compaction, good adherence, low surface roughness and high durability. The PAM Natural line of products offers, aside from the advantages of ductile iron, robustness, reliability, quick and easy installation, and high mechanical and hydraulic performance.
- PAM Irrigal: PAM Irrigal products are green ductile iron pipes for agricultural irrigation uses. The green colour is a feature of the pipe and integrates it in the rural environment.
The agricultural sector, as a water user, has to search for optimal solutions to ensure efficient and sustainable water use. The ductile iron PAM Irrigal line of products save water by eliminating the risk of water losses, thereby increasing agricultural productivity. This line of products offers the following advantages for agricultural water conveyance: a high safety coefficient, excellent mechanical properties, high working pressures, long service life and easy assembly. They feature a Biozinalium® reinforced outer coating, an Aquacoat® protective layer and blast furnace cement mortar lining.
- PAM Integral: The PAM Integral ductile iron conveyance systems conform to EN 598:2008 and ISO 7186:2011 Standards, and have been designed for gravity flow and rising main sewage systems, for waste water and effluent between pH4 and pH12.
The PAM Integral product line also features the Biozinalium® outer coating and the Aquacoat® protective layer. In this case the lining is made of an aluminous cement mortar that withstands abrasion: it can endure high flow velocities with no damage or risk for the pipe. The main advantages of this line of products are a system that is completely waterproof to outside and inside pressure, with a long service life, good performance against abrasion and pressure, and good overall cost-effectiveness.
- PAM Topaz: A small-diameter line of products designed for pressure sewage systems, to be used in: pressure networks, pumping stations, waste water treatment plants and special applications. This product line has the advantages of ductile iron combined with those of plastics, resulting in an innovative small-diameter pipe system — DN 75 to 160 mm — for gravity flow or rising main sewage systems, lightweight and with dimensions that are compatible with plastic materials.
Technical solutions
- Special coatings: The ductile iron pipes by Saint-Gobain PAM España, currently with a Biozinalium® reinforced coating in all product lines, are highly resistant to soil damage and can be used in most cases. The characteristics of soils should be assessed if there are any concerns about their aggressiveness, to recommend, if pertinent, the type of special coating solution that should be used.
- Anchored joints: Anchored joints can withstand traction forces, within their pressure and axial displacement specifications, without separating and ensuring the integrity of the pipeline.
