The Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has announced the launch of a Pre-qualification Program for developers aiming to participate in the development of future projects in the sectors of water production plants and sewage treatment plants.
The newly launched program will provide both local and international developers the opportunity to obtain pre-qualification approval. This will enable them to receive Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for SWPC's future projects, listed below, without the need to submit a separate qualification application for each project.
Program objectives
The primary goals of the program include:
- Facilitating and expediting the developer pre-qualification process.
- Allowing the private sector ample time to form consortia.
- Enhancing competitiveness in project bids.
Call for Expression of Interest
SWPC invites all interested developers to submit their interest for pre-qualification in the development of water production plants and sewage treatment plants. Developers are required to use the attached form and submit their Statement of Qualification (SOQ) by Thursday, July 4, 2024.
Submission process
Interested local and international developers should complete and sign all required forms, compile them into a single PDF document, and email it to the appropriate address:
- For ISTPs (Independent Sewage Treatment Plants) Applications: ISTPPQ@SWPC.SA
- For IWPs (Independent Water Production Plants) Applications: IWPPQ@SWPC.SA
The email subject should read: "Expression of Interest for Pre-Qualification – [name of the Applicant]".
Required documents
Appendix A: A letter certifying the developer's expression of interest, with updates to the highlighted sections to reflect the applicant's specific interests.
Appendix B: Relevant information about the applicant, to help SWPC understand the applicant’s business and establish a primary contact point for future communications, including the issuance of RFP documents.
Next steps
Upon receiving an applicant’s response to the Expression of Interest (EOI), SWPC will review the submission and subsequently share the Request for Pre-Qualification (RFQ) document via the email identified by the applicant in Appendix B. For any inquiries, applicants can reach out to SWPC through the provided email addresses.
This initiative by SWPC is expected to streamline the project development process, foster competitive bids, and ultimately enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of water and sewage infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia.
Interested parties can download the application form from SWPC’s webpage.
