Water and waste company Severn Trent has announced it has appointed a new Director for Customer, Retail and Technology, after current Director Andy Smith is set to retire later in the year.
Judith (Jude) Burditt will be joining Severn Trent from Shell Energy Retail, where she’s currently Chief Operating Officer responsible for the end to end operations of the business. Her previous experience includes senior roles at First Utility, EE and Orange, within both customer operations, and technology.
Severn Trent CEO, Liv Garfield said: “Andy has been a pivotal part of Severn Trent for many years. He’s successfully helped guide us through transformations and changes over the years as a fantastic, insightful leader, who has also been instrumental in finding and developing new talent. He’ll not only leave a legacy with those he’s worked with and careers he’s helped grow, but for our customers and communities too. He really has delivered an incredible amount for Severn Trent, and we’ll all miss him as he enjoys his well-deserved retirement.

Andy Smith will be retiring from Severn Trent after 16 years in Autumn, where he’s held a variety of roles including Managing Director of Business Services, the Water Services Director, and HR Director.
