Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Company has been awarded a contract worth 220 million Saudi riyals ($58.61 million) to expand a tertiary treatment plant in Dammam, in Saudi Arabia, reports Zawya.
The project will increase the plant's capacity by 125,000 cubic metres per day and also involve rehabilitating the existing facility, according to a statement from the Saudi-listed company.
The financial impact of this contract is expected to be seen in the first quarter of 2025. Additionally, in July, Alkhorayef Water secured six new blanket purchase agreements totaling $51 million from the National Water Company (NWC) for the installation of new water and wastewater connections.
