About the entity

Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies (AWPT), a company listed on the Saudi stock exchange, has been awarded two major contracts by the Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO) worth a total of 354 million Saudi riyals ($94.34 million), reports Zawya.

The first agreement, with a value of SAR 130 million, covers the development of a treated water reuse system. According to a statement from the company on Thursday, this project will enable the transmission and distribution of water from the initial phase of the Wadi Al-Dawasir sewage treatment plant for agricultural irrigation.

In a separate announcement, AWPT disclosed it had also secured a SAR 224 million contract for a similar initiative. This project will involve the transmission and distribution of treated water from the first phase of the Al Rass sewage treatment plant.

Both contracts are scheduled to be completed within a 24-month period, as indicated in the company’s statements.

The financial impact of these projects is expected to be recognized in the third quarter of 2025.
