Azuria Water Solutions, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Caliagua, Inc., a California-based engineering and construction firm specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure.

Established in 1978, Caliagua has built a strong reputation for delivering complex water and wastewater projects across California. Headquartered in Anaheim, the company was founded by Oscar Bruner and later transitioned to second-generation leadership under his son, Gus Bruner. Over the years, Caliagua has been involved in the construction, rehabilitation, and modernization of infrastructure essential to community water systems.

The company holds licenses enabling it to engineer, build, and install a wide range of assets, including treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, reservoirs, industrial boilers, and cooling towers. Through this broad technical capability, Caliagua supports municipal water and wastewater utilities, public agencies, and private commercial and building clients. Its work spans both public and private sectors, addressing infrastructure needs from initial construction through system upgrades.

Leadership continuity will remain in place following the acquisition. Gus Bruner and Cory Wolfrom will continue with the organization, helping to guide the integration process and maintain stability for employees, customers, and project partners.

For Azuria, the acquisition aligns with its focus on expanding technology-enabled solutions for the water industry. Founded in 1971, the company provides products and services aimed at extending the life and performance of aging water pipeline infrastructure through sustainable and cost-effective approaches.

Azuria stated that Caliagua will become part of its growing family of companies, strengthening its capabilities in water and wastewater engineering and construction while extending its presence in California’s infrastructure market.
