CITCO Water has announced the acquisition of Pump & Process Equipment, Inc. and Legacy Environmental, marking a significant step in strengthening its presence in the southeastern United States and expanding its portfolio of water and wastewater solutions.
Headquartered in Huntington, West Virginia, CITCO Water has operated in the sector for more than 90 years, delivering equipment, services, and technologies across multiple stages of the water cycle. The integration of Pump & Process Equipment, Inc. and Legacy Environmental is expected to reinforce its capabilities in equipment supply, process solutions, and advanced treatment technologies.
The move expands CITCO’s operational footprint into key southeastern markets, including Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, while enhancing its ability to serve municipalities, utilities, contractors, and industrial users. Both acquired companies bring established expertise: Pump & Process Equipment is known for its role as a manufacturer’s representative in pumping and treatment systems, while Legacy Environmental specializes in packaged wastewater treatment solutions and process design.
According to the company, the acquisitions align with its long-term strategy of building an integrated platform that combines equipment distribution, engineering know-how, and treatment technologies.
“This is an exciting moment for CITCO Water and for the customers we serve,” said Jeff Morrison, CEO of CITCO Water. “Pump & Process Equipment and Legacy Environmental are exceptional organizations with talented teams, strong industry relationships, and deep technical expertise. Their capabilities align perfectly with CITCO’s mission of delivering complete solutions across the entire water cycle. By bringing these organizations together, we are building a stronger platform that allows us to serve customers with more technology, more expertise, and a broader portfolio of solutions.”
The company highlighted that the transaction supports ongoing investment in infrastructure solutions as water systems face increasing technical and operational challenges.
“As water infrastructure continues to evolve, customers need trusted partners who can deliver innovative solutions and technical expertise,” Morrison added. “With the addition of Pump & Process Equipment and Legacy Environmental, CITCO Water is positioned to become the premier regional platform for waterworks and wastewater solutions, supporting customers from source to treatment and everything in between.”
