DouroECI, a Portugal-based subsidiary of Metito Utilities and a leader in comprehensive water cycle management, has successfully wrapped up a major consultancy project in Brazil. The initiative, commissioned by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, was designed to boost the operational efficiency of SANASA, the municipal company providing water and sanitation services to the city of Campinas.
The project’s main goal was to develop an integrated strategy for operational management systems, with a focus on minimising water loss and improving overall efficiency. It was structured around two key components:
- A detailed diagnostic and gap analysis, conducted in partnership with Effico Saneamento, which reviewed SANASA’s current IT and information management systems to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- The creation of a targeted action plan, drawing on industry best practices and available technologies, to implement a more robust, customised information management system for SANASA.
This initiative underscores DouroECI’s advanced capabilities in combining engineering expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver globally relevant consulting solutions.
DouroECI’s contribution is closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), demonstrating a strong commitment to making a positive impact and supporting long-term sustainability.
