H2O Innovation has acquired Lama Sistemas de Filtrados S.L. Unipersonal, a Spain-based manufacturer of water filtration systems. This transaction marks the company’s 20th acquisition in 25 years and expands its portfolio in the membrane filtration industry.
Founded in 1948 in Sevilla, Spain, Lama specializes in backwashable filters for suspended solids removal. The company offers a range of products from manual to fully automatic systems, serving municipal, industrial, and agricultural markets. By adding Lama’s product line, H2O Innovation will broaden the pretreatment options it provides to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and engineering firms for ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis systems.
Within H2O Innovation’s Specialty Products division, the Piedmont® brand focuses on reverse osmosis pretreatment. Lama’s technologies are expected to complement this offering by adding filtration solutions applicable to ultrafiltration.
