The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy has received conditional approval from the State Audit Bureau (SAB) to proceed with the Shuwaikh water distribution complex project, valued at KD74.703 million ($242.46 million).
The contract involves the construction, completion, maintenance, and full development of the complex, as well as associated works.
Previously, the ministry had obtained approval from the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) to award the project to the bidder who met all the necessary technical specifications and conditions.
On March 12, the tender was referred to SAB for pre-audit and review procedures.
The contract is expected to be finalized soon, assuming there are no further comments from the bureau.
