Ovivo has announced that Marc Barbeau will step down as President and CEO on March 31, 2026, after 25 years of leadership. Reinhard Hübner will succeed him as CEO, while continuing his role leading SKion Water to foster collaboration across Ovivo’s portfolio. Barbeau will remain with the company as a member of the Board of Directors to support its long-term vision.
Barbeau joined Ovivo in 2000 and played a key role in the company’s growth, including its transition to a water-focused business, global expansion, and the privatization with SKion Water in 2016. His leadership also saw significant strategic moves, including the sale of Ovivo’s Electronics division to Ecolab in 2025.
The leadership transition comes as Ovivo completes the sale of its Electronics division and shifts focus to core markets like Municipal/Industrial/PFAS, Energy, and Cembrane. Hübner’s appointment marks the beginning of a new phase, with Ovivo poised for growth and innovation under his leadership.
Ovivo expressed deep gratitude to Barbeau for his visionary leadership, which has helped shape the company’s success over the years.
