About the entity

Miahona Company has been awarded a contract worth 1 billion Saudi riyals ($266.55 million) by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) to develop an industrial wastewater treatment plant in Jeddah’s 1st Industrial City, reports Zawya.

According to a statement the company released to the Saudi stock exchange on Wednesday, the project will involve the rehabilitation, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems.

The scope of the agreement also includes capital investment, land utilization, service delivery, and revenue generation through the sale of treated water. The project will be carried out under a 25-year rehabilitation, operation, and transfer (ROT) model.
