Nama Water Services is advancing its approach to water resource management by maximizing the economic value of treated water, positioning it as a reliable and sustainable solution to meet various sector needs. This shift supports Oman Vision 2040 by focusing on value-driven water management, contributing to both operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The company emphasized that sustainability begins with efficient resource management, and its efforts are aimed at optimizing treated water use across diverse sectors.
Eng. Issam bin Munir Al Ismaili, Chief Officer of Digital and Commercial Services at Nama Water Services, stated that the company’s treated water solution, Manhal Nama, has evolved from being an alternative water source to a key component of the water economy. It enables sectors to manage water demand efficiently and cost-effectively.
“Our goal is not just to provide treated water as a service, but as a comprehensive solution that brings value to our customers through efficiency, sustainability, and ease of use,” Al Ismaili explained.

The company’s integrated treatment system uses advanced technologies to enhance water quality and ensure the safe reuse of treated water in applications such as agriculture, industry, and irrigation, all in compliance with national and international standards. This approach contributes to environmental protection and the improvement of the quality of life.
According to Nama Water Services, by the end of 2025, the number of beneficiaries of Manhal Nama increased by 36% compared to 2024, showing growing demand for treated water as a sustainable option. This indicates a shift towards more efficient and sustainable water solutions, driven by reliability and service continuity.
Nama Water Services is also expanding treatment networks and infrastructure. Among key projects is the treated water distribution initiative in Al Shakhakhit, Wilayat Barka, serving around 60 farms, with more than 100 connection requests reflecting the rising demand from the agricultural sector. Additionally, a new strategic treated water pipeline in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate is set to improve accessibility across a 12-kilometer stretch, connecting Nizwa and Manah.
Al Ismaili emphasized the benefits of treated water, including reduced reliance on freshwater resources, preservation of natural reserves, and operational cost reductions, urging sectors to consider Manhal Nama as a reliable and sustainable solution.
