I Squared Capital, a prominent independent global infrastructure investment manager, has announced the appointment of Radhika Fox, a renowned expert in environmental and water infrastructure, as Senior Policy Advisor. Fox, who most recently served as Assistant Administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Water, will now lend her strategic expertise to guide the firm's water policy and regulatory initiatives.
In her new role, Fox will focus on providing high-level guidance on environmental infrastructure, particularly in water policy and regulation. Her experience as the EPA’s chief advisor in water resources and water infrastructure to the EPA Administrator and White House, where she spearheaded the water pillar of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and secured a historic $50 billion federal investment in water infrastructure, positions her as a key player in advancing sustainable solutions to pressing environmental challenges.
"Access to clean and plentiful water is under threat globally, necessitating immediate action," said Sadek Wahba, Chairman and Managing Partner at I Squared Capital. " Private capital can play a vital role in addressing this pressing issue. As a renowned water policy expert, Radhika is a valuable champion for this cause. Her expertise will greatly benefit our portfolio companies working to resolve critical challenges, including ensuring safe drinking water, modernizing aging infrastructure, and mitigating the impacts of climate change."
Fox expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, highlighting the increasing vulnerabilities facing global water systems. "I am excited to join a firm that recognizes the importance of creating more sustainable water infrastructure," she said. " Our current water resources and systems face rising threats from natural disasters, growing populations, and antiquated infrastructure, which makes it critical to invest in innovative solutions. I’m looking forward to working with the talented team at I Squared to find sustainable solutions that will last for future generations."
Fox’s extensive career in water management began at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and includes serving as CEO of the US Water Alliance, where she united diverse stakeholders to address the nation’s critical water, environmental, and climate challenges.
