Saudi Arabia appoints advisers for Jubail IWPs

Saudi Arabia’s Water & Electricity Company (SWPC) has announced it has appointed an international advisory consortium for the Jubail (Phase-3) Independent Water Projects (IWP).

The company had received ten bids for the Transaction Advisory Services, of which three were shortlisted:

  1. Synergy Consulting
  2. SMBC
  3. Cranmore Partner

The two desalination projects will be built in Jubail, in the eastern province on the Persian Gulf Coast of Saudi Arabia.

Jubail 3A will have a potable water capacity of 600,000 cubic metres per day and Jubail 3B will have a capacity of 570,000 cubic metres per day.

Water & Electricity Company is advised by Synergy Consulting (Financial and Lead Advisor), DLA Piper Middle East LLP (Legal Adviser) and Atkins (Technical Adviser).
