Saudi Arabia’s Group Five announced that it has won a contract worth 3 billion Saudi riyals ($800 million) for Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC)’s Ras Al Khair - Riyadh water transportation system project.

Zawya reports that according to the company’s annoucement in a stock exchange statement, the contract will entail the manufacture and supply of spiral-welded steel pipes for transporting water from Ras Al-Khair to Riyadh.

The Ras Al Khair - Riyadh water transportation system project will consist of a total length pipeline of 391 kilometers and will have the capacity to transfer 1.2 million cubic meters per day (cm/d) of water.
