Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), whose corporate purpose is the sale and purchase of water and electricity in Saudi Arabia, announced this week that it has issued Request for Proposals (RFP) for Small Sewage Treatment Plant (SSTP) and Collection Network (CN) for the Jazan Cluster project.
The project includes the development of 12 sewage treatment plants (SSTPs) with a total combined treatment capacity of 74,700 m3/day, according to the statement by SWPC.
The project is expected to start commercial operations in the third quarter of 2023.
In June 2022, SWPC had prequalified 19 developers according to Zawya:

The SSTPs will be procured under a build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) model for a 25-year term, whereas the collection networks will be procured under a design, build, finance and transfer (DBFT) model.
The selected company will be incorporated to develop the project and treat the sewage under a 25-year sewage treatment and collection network implementation agreement (STCNIA) with SWPC.
