Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA), in conjunction with the National Centre for Privatisation & PPP (NCP), announced on Sunday that 54 companies have expressed interest in the Water and Sewage Treatment Plants at Land Ports Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project, reports Zawya.

The call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) was made in June 2024, drawing a significant response from both domestic and international companies. The project involves the construction and operation of water and sewage treatment plants, alongside the development of associated networks and assets at ten of the Kingdom’s land ports. This will be executed under a Design-Build-Finance-Operate-Maintain-Transfer (DBFOMT) contract spanning 15 years, including a two-year construction phase.
