About the entity

The Saudi Irrigation Organization (SIO) has formally entered into an agreement with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) for the provision of treated sewage water to the Taiba Independent Power Plant (Taiba IPP) located in Madinah, in Saudi Arabia, reports Zawya.

As part of the project, a comprehensive 122-kilometer water transportation and storage system will be constructed. The key elements of this system comprise water pumping and storage stations designed to handle 20,000 cubic meters per day, as outlined in a press statement issued by SIO on Wednesday.
