French water services group Saur has secured a new contract to operate and maintain the wastewater infrastructure for Doha and the South Zone, in a move that significantly expands the company’s presence in the Middle East.
Under the terms of the agreement, Saur will be responsible for the comprehensive management of wastewater assets serving more than one million residents in Qatar’s capital and surrounding metropolitan area. The contract includes the implementation of advanced operational methodologies such as predictive maintenance and digital network management, aimed at modernizing the region’s wastewater systems.
Saur has described the initiative as aligned with its ongoing mission to provide sustainable water and wastewater solutions globally, a strategic priority it refers to internally as #MissionWater.
