This state-of-the-art facility highlights the company’s continued focus on smart metering and sustainability, as the use of smart metering technology expands across the UK.
Through its subsidiary, Digital Solutions, SUEZ has introduced the SOC to offer customers an intuitive and comprehensive visual overview of their meters and network performance. With over 7 million smart meters installed worldwide, SUEZ is building on its reputation as a leader in smart water metering.
The new digital hub gathers and analyses real-time data from smart meters, enabling water utilities to proactively manage systems and swiftly identify and address performance issues. It also supports remote operations, such as software updates, by overseeing the day-to-day functioning of transmitters, receivers, servers, and telecom systems.

The centre will oversee the performance of millions of smart water meters across the UK, including ON’connect™—SUEZ’s proprietary smart metering range designed to help water utilities boost efficiency, cut costs, and enhance customer service.

The opening of the Maidenhead centre follows the success of similar Smart Operations Centres globally, including a facility in Paris that has operated for a decade and monitors over 3 million smart meters.
