Saudi Arabia’s Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC) has received expressions of interest (EOIs) shortly after the firm issued the Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the development of the Ras Mohaisen independent water project (IWP) to the interested companies.
SWPC has announced that 44 companies have expressed their interest in Ras Mohaisen IWP, of which 21 companies are from Saudi Arabia.

The Ras Mohaisen IWP is to be located 300km south of Makkah in the Western Province of the country. The project which is to be developed on a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) contractual model, is planned to begin producing 300,000 cubic meters in 2024, using reverse osmosis technology.
