Sylmar Group acquires Butler Water Corrections to strengthen US Northeast presence

Sylmar Group, a US provider of industrial water treatment solutions, has announced the acquisition of Butler Water Corrections, Inc., a New Jersey-based company specializing in water treatment technologies for institutional, commercial, and industrial applications.

Founded in 1938, Butler Water Corrections has developed water treatment solutions focused on heating and cooling systems, food service equipment, and other specialized industrial uses. The company has also been recognized for its work in cathodic protection and for developing patented treatment technologies.

The transaction brings together Sylmar’s national operational platform with Butler’s longstanding experience in customer-focused water treatment services. The acquisition is expected to strengthen Sylmar’s capabilities in niche treatment applications and broaden its presence across several end markets in the Northeastern United States, including education, hospitality, government, and industrial facilities.

Chad Hetzell, President of Butler Water Corrections, said the deal will support the company’s next stage of growth while preserving its core approach to service and innovation. “Butler has always taken pride in developing solutions that are both highly effective and environmentally responsible, while providing exceptional customer service,” he said. “Joining Sylmar allows us to rise to the next level of service and reach a wider customer market. We’re excited to be part of an organization that shares our long-standing commitment to practical, forward-thinking water treatment and superior customer service.”

Sylmar said it plans to continue supporting Butler’s existing customer relationships and product portfolio while allocating further resources for growth and product development.

Michael Warady, President and Co-Founder of Sylmar Group, highlighted Butler’s history in the sector. “Butler represents a rare combination of longevity, technical excellence, and customer service-driven innovation,” he said. “Their 88-year history of ensuring high-quality water treatment outcomes, long before it became an industry priority, aligns closely with how we think about the future of water management. We’re proud to welcome their team and build on that nearly 100-year legacy together.”

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
