Tetra Tech appoints Eric W. Thornburg to Board of Directors

Tetra Tech has announced the appointment of Eric W. Thornburg to its Board of Directors, effective March 30, 2026. The company confirmed that Thornburg will serve on both the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Thornburg joins the board following his recent retirement as Chief Executive Officer of H2O America, where he also held the roles of Chair and President. The organisation operates a network of local water and wastewater utilities that serve more than 1.6 million people across the United States.

With more than 40 years of experience in the water sector, Thornburg has held several senior leadership positions. Prior to his time at H2O America, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Connecticut Water Service.

Commenting on the appointment, Dan Batrack said: “Eric brings deep leadership experience across diverse water utilities, with a track record of operational excellence, delivering growth and sustainable value to investors, and significant leadership team building and development. His insight into critical and resilient water infrastructure will benefit our focus on the water market.”

Thornburg began his career at American Water Works Corporation, where he developed experience across multiple areas of water utility operations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Business from Cornell University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.

The appointment adds extensive utility sector experience to Tetra Tech’s Board of Directors.
