About the entity

Tetra Tech, Inc., a global leader in consulting and engineering services focused on water, the environment, and sustainable infrastructure, has been awarded a multiple-award contract by United Utilities to support stormwater and flood management efforts across the United Kingdom.

The five-year agreement will see Tetra Tech delivering a wide range of technical services aimed at mitigating flooding risks and reducing stormwater overflows. The firm will design forward-thinking solutions that leverage predictive modeling to enhance the capacity of both current and future wastewater infrastructure. The approach also includes nature-based strategies to meet evolving stormwater management needs.

To support these efforts, Tetra Tech’s water resources engineers will utilize its proprietary software tools, PLATO™ and SOCRATES™, to quickly develop and assess a variety of stormwater storage and water quality scenarios. These tools will help identify optimal solutions for capital investments and long-term planning.

“Tetra Tech’s RPS operations have been supporting United Utilities to address complex wastewater challenges for almost a decade,” said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech Chairman and CEO. “We look forward to using our Leading with Science® approach to deliver exceptional value to United Utilities and its customers.”
