Thames Water Utilities Limited has published a tender notice for a site investigation survey framework that it expects to be worth up to £211.2 million, including value-added tax. The notice was published on the UK’s Find a Tender service on 6 February 2026.
The procurement seeks suitably qualified suppliers to deliver a range of site investigation surveys and related deliverables across Thames Water’s operational area. The framework will support both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects on Thames Water sites and on private and public land, including work within highway and road environments.
The framework is divided into four lots covering above-ground surveys, below-ground surveys, ground investigations, and multidisciplinary survey requirements. Examples of services expected under the lots include laser scanning, topographical and drone surveys, utility detection and mapping, geotechnical ground investigation and combined multidisciplinary survey programmes.
The estimated value of the framework is £176,000,000 excluding VAT and £211,200,000 including VAT. Contract performance is expected to run from 30 June 2026 to 31 March 2030, with the possibility of extension to 30 March 2034.
Suppliers wishing to participate must request access to the prior information and submit requests to participate by 5 March 2026. Thames Water plans to evaluate submissions and award places on the framework agreement through a competitive selection process.
